In the book, Debra reveals how her incestuous relationship with her father eventually became consensual. She wants to be the voice of others who couldn’t speak, like Baby Brianna Lopez of Mexico City, who was raped and beaten to death by her father, mother and uncle.
“What makes my story different from other incest survivors is not only was I deeply in love with my father and had high dreams of marrying him one day, but I also believe that I was being led by the Devil himself, and would drop my children, my jobs, my boyfriends, and my life to go wherever he was,” said Debra.
